PowerPoint 2010 Foundation Course

This course is intended to help all novice computers get up to speed quickly. This course will also help more experienced users who have little to no experience with PowerPoint 2007 and the ribbon interface. This course will cover different features of the interface, give a brief overview of all the tabs in the ribbon, show users how to print, cover some simple presentations, and cover the basics of formatting. By the end of this course, users should be comfortable with creating a new presentation, customising the PowerPoint Interface, making their presentation look professional and presentable, and saving and presenting their slide show.

PowerPoint 2010 Intermediate Course

This course is intended to help users familiar with PowerPoint improve their basic skills and to become more comfortable with advanced features like transitions, animations, photos, charts, tables, and SmartArt. This course will also give users some tips on managing PowerPoint files.  This course will cover how to manage PowerPoint files; format a presentation; apply transitions and animations; and add art, diagrams, charts, and tables. By the end of this course, users should be able to create engaging, visually rich, interactive presentations.

PowerPoint 2010 Advanced Course

This Advanced level course is intended to help users understand some of PowerPoint’s more advanced features. This course will also help you create customised templates, handouts, and notes.  This course will cover adding audio and video to a presentation; creating different types of masters and templates; reviewing a presentation; and creating advanced, custom, and shared shows. By the end of this course, users should be comfortable with all of PowerPoint’s advanced features.

Training Manuals

Each course contains several sections, each devoted to a different theme.  Each section has a number of lessons and each lesson has the following elements:

- Concepts  - A specific portion of the overall theme. For example, a section may focus on using toolbars, while a concept would address a specific toolbar.

- Step-ByStep Excersises   - A walkthrough of the concepts covered in the lesson.

- Skill Sharpener Exercises   -  A free-form assignment focusing on the concepts covered in the lesson.

- Case Study   - A larger free-form assignment focusing on all concepts taught in the section.



You work through the course material at your own pace and submit your final assessment as and when you are ready. Submitting assessments is not compulsory.  This allows you to progress through the course at a pace that suits your needs.  You have 12 months in which to submit your assessment for marking. If you need help or have any questions we are available to assist by email. We will normally get back to you within 72 hours with either an email response or reference information.
