About the Cert IV Bookkeeping Classroom Training Course:

This course is suitable for people of all backgrounds and skill levels. The successful completion of this course will satisfy the minimum education requirements as required under the new BAS Agent laws.
 
The Certificate IV Financial Services (Bookkeeping) course is an in-depth study into essential professional bookkeeping and business practices. The course incorporates substantial practical and theoretical elements that will equip students with the necessary skills required to practice as a professional bookkeeper across all industries whether as an employee or sub-contract bookkeeper.

Students will be trained proficiently in the use of current versions of MYOB as this accounting program is the leading and preferred software of choice of many business enterprises.

Working in the Financial Services Industry textbook.

Total duration of the course is approximately 90 hours in classroom training - 1 day per week for 18 weeks.  Classroom training will be held between 10am and 4pm.  This course is based upon adult flexible learning and is structured to suit those that would otherwise find it difficult to find the time to attend a course with a strict timetable.

This course is a self paced distance learning training course.  We would expect that you will spend at least 90 hours reading and working through the course material.  You will then need to practice the material you have learnt and work through your assessments The course is based upon adult flexible learning and is structured to suit those that would otherwise find it difficult to find the time to attend a course with a strict timetable.

Multiple Qualifications: Certificate IV Financial Services (Accounting)
 
In addition to the standard Cert IV Bookkeeping classroom training or distance learning study load, students may also elect to enrol in the 4 additional units to attain the Certificate IV Financial Services (Accounting) FNS40604 qualification trained by TBST as well. 

By attaining this additional qualification the student will be eligible to upstream in the future, with further study, to higher Accounting qualifications such as Accounting Associate Diplomas, Accounting Diplomas and Accounting Degrees.

The addition Certificate IV Financial Services Accounting Units are:

1 Day    - FNSACCT401A  -  Process business tax requirements  
2 Days  - FNSACCT402B  -  Produce job costing information  
2 Days  - FNSACCT403B  -  Prepare operational budjets
2 Days  - FNSACCT404B  -  Make decisions within a legal context
 
Next Accounting Units Commencement Date: 17th January 2011
 
Future Accounting Units Commencement Date: 4th May 2011
